Our story and our team
Parker’s Room was built by nurses, for nurses. Founded by pediatric home health leader Chantal Torrain, it grew from in-house training at her agency LaLa into something bigger: a mission to better prepare nurses for the clinical and emotional realities of caring for medically fragile children at home.

Our Mission
Our mission is to elevate the standard of pediatric home care through accredited training and certification, so nurses can build respected careers, parents can feel confident, and medically fragile children can thrive safely at home.
We believe that when pediatric home health nursing is recognized as the specialized discipline it is, professional pathways strengthen, and workforce stability improves.
When nurses are trained and certified to advanced standards, preventable risk decreases.
And when families are properly prepared, transitions home are safer and hospital readmissions can be reduced.
About our name
Parker's Room is named in honor of Parker Lee Reynolds, and her mom, Megan.
I met Megan when I was running my nursing agency, LaLa, and told her about my dream to create specialized training for nurses caring for medically fragile children at home. She believed in it straight away—and did more than that. She supported the idea, and her non-profit, The Parker Lee Project, helped equip our lab, and played a vital part in getting us off the ground.
Naming the lab Parker’s Room felt like the right way to honor both Parker’s memory, and Megan’s belief in what this could become.
